We rebuilt the OcuTrap app. Your account moves to it. Your billing does not change.

Same plan. Same price. Same renewal date. Same payment method. You are not charged anything new for the move.

You do not need to do anything to keep your subscription. It moves with your trap, automatically.

What Carries Over

  • Your subscription. Each trap keeps the subscription it already has. One subscription per trap, exactly as today.
  • Your price. Monthly stays Monthly. Annual stays Annual. The amount does not change.
  • Your renewal date. Unchanged. Your next charge lands on the same day it would have.
  • Your payment method. The same card stays on file. Nothing to re-enter.
  • Your invoice history. Your past invoices stay in the Stripe billing portal. Same billing account, so nothing is lost.
  • Your trial. If a trap is in a free Trial, the trial keeps its end date.

Your subscription is billed through Stripe, and it always has been. The move does not create a new subscription, cancel your old one, or interrupt service.

What You Do

  1. Watch for our email with your Set your password link.
  2. Set your password.
  3. Sign in at app.ocutrap.com or in the mobile app, using the same email address you use today.

Your traps, photos, shared access, and subscription are already attached when you arrive.

What You Should See

Sign in, open a trap, and go to its Billing tab. You should see:

  • The Plan you already pay for, marked Active (or Trialing if you're in a free trial).
  • Your renewal date, unchanged.
  • Your card, already on file.
  • Your invoices, through the Stripe billing portal link.

The trap's Device Info also shows the Plan field. It should read the plan you pay for, not No Subscription.

Important: Do Not Subscribe Twice

If the new app asks you to check out for a trap you already pay for, stop. Do not complete checkout.

Migrated traps never need a new checkout. If you're prompted for one, something is attached wrong, and paying again would start a second subscription on that trap.

Email support@ocutrap.com instead. Include the trap name. We'll fix the attachment. Your existing subscription keeps running while we do.

If a Charge Looks Wrong

Email support@ocutrap.com with:

  • The trap name.
  • The date and amount of the charge.
  • The email address on your account.

We can see your billing records on both sides of the move, so we can tell you exactly what a charge is for and correct it if it's wrong.

The Old App

The old app stays available until the retire date in your email. After that, OcuTrap lives only in the new app.

There is nothing to cancel in the old app. Your subscription was never billed by it. It is the same Stripe subscription throughout, and it simply continues.

Common Questions

Will I be billed by both apps?
No. There is one subscription per trap and it does not get duplicated by the move. The old app does not bill you separately.

Do I need to re-enter my card?
No. Your payment method stays on file.

Will my trap lose service because of the move?
No. Your subscription does not lapse, so nothing about billing takes your trap offline.

I use a different email now than when I bought my trap.
Reply to our email or contact support@ocutrap.com. We'll move your account, traps, and subscription to your current address before you set a password. Your billing doesn't change.

Can I still pause, cancel, or change my plan?
Yes. Those work the same way in the new app. See Managing Your Subscription.
